Hello,
For those I have already told and those I have not yet, I have been accepted to go on a trip. This is no ordinary trip however. This trip is through a missions organization called Adventures in Mission. I depart on August 31st to travel to Central America, Southeast Asia, and Africa (not necessarily in that order). There is a training week that I will be attending in mid-July. Between now and mid-August I have a lot of fundraising to do. I have to trust God to provide for this trip. When I was going to Guatemala with my church, it wasn't too hard to raise all the money because, in retrospect, it wasn't that much. I don't know how I'm going to raise almost $12,000 in four months. I know that this trip will open my eyes to what is actually going on in the world. We may get news, but we don't really know what is happening in other countries. I'll get some first hand experience. I've wanted to travel across the Atlantic for a while, and now I get to while doing something I love.
Please pray for the trip. Pray for all the participants who are going and that they will be able to raise all the money that they have to. Pray for the people that we are going to reach and that they will be receptive to God's calling them to Him. Pray that no one gets hurt or robbed while on this trip.
